Meaningful Lyrics Are My Real Success: Anantha Sriram on Peddi’s Chartbuster
The energetic song “Rai Rai Raa Raa” from the highly anticipated film Peddi is receiving a fantastic response, clocking record-breaking views online. With Global Star Ram Charan’s powerful dance moves, the track has instantly transformed into a chartbuster. The song is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, choreographed by Jani Master, and composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman, while Rathnavelu has added rich visuals to the energetic number.
Renowned lyricist Anantha Sriram, who penned the verses, shared that the team worked extensively for six months on the lyrics. Their goal was to ensure the lines were not only “massy” enough to please the fans but also meaningful enough to carry the film’s emotion.
Sriram revealed an interesting piece of trivia regarding the hook line. He stated that the phrase was inspired by the signals used for RTC buses in villages. The sound “Rai Rai” is traditionally used to signal moving forward, symbolizing progress and leadership, fitting the theme of the movie perfectly.
The lyricist expressed his joy over the reception, revealing that Ram Charan hugged him after hearing the song. Sriram confirmed that he has written three songs for Peddi and is currently working on other exciting projects with high spirits.
