Geethanjali is a 1989 Telugu, romance film written and directed by Mani Ratnam. Starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Girija Shettar in lead roles, the film’s soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Upon release, the film met with both commercial success and critical acclaim. The film won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and seven state Nandi Awards.[1] A Tamil dubbed version titled Idhayathai Thirudathe was released in 1989. The film was later dubbed into Malayalam and was remade in Hindi as Yaad Rakhegi Duniya starring Aditya Pancholi, Rukhsar and Vikram Gokhale. It recorded as Blockbuster Hit at the box office
