Josh is a 2009 Telugu film that marked the debut of Naga Chaitanya and Karthika in the lead roles, whilst, prominent actor J. D. Chakravarthy plays a pivotal role. Directed by Vasu Varma, and produced by noted producer, Dil Raju.[1] An initial date of 3 September for release, was delayed due to the death of Andhra Pradesh‘s Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. It was eventually released two days later. The film was a critical and commercial failure despite the heavy publicity prior release of the film. Naga Chaitanya was praised as an actor in Tollywood. The film’s storyline was very similar to Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna‘s 1989 Ram Gopal Varma film, Siva where a student tries to eliminate the mafia involved in the students, and the antagonist in that film too is played by Chakravarthy.
