Manmadha is the 2004 Telugu-dubbed version of the Tamil blockbuster Manmadhan, directed by A.J. Murugan and written by Silambarasan TR (Simbu), who also stars in a dual role. The film is a romantic action thriller set in Chennai, following two brothers who look identical — one a carefree playboy and the other a deeply disturbed individual with a dark secret. When women who cross paths with the playboy twin are found murdered one by one, a female psychiatrist is called in to investigate, leading to a gripping psychological revelation. Starring Simbu and Jyothika in the lead roles, supported by Sindhu Tolani, Atul Kulkarni, Mandira Bedi, and Goundamani, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Released on 12 November 2004 on Diwali, the film was a massive blockbuster running for over 150 days, and was re-released in Telugu in October 2024 to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
