Rudraveena (English: Strings) is a 1988 Telugu musical–drama film starring Chiranjeevi and Shobana. Produced by Anjana Productions, the film was directed by K. Balachander with musical and background score by Ilaiyaraaja. The film won three National Film Awards including the Best Feature Film on National Integration, and was premiered at the 12th International Film Festival of India.[1] The film was later remade into Tamil by Balachander himself as Unnal Mudiyum Thambi starring Kamal Haasan and was released on 12 August 1988.[2]
