INFORMATION
amajogayya Sastry (popularly known by the title Saraswatiputra) is a titan of modern Telugu cinema. Originally a metallurgical engineer with degrees from NIT Warangal and IIT Kharagpur, he left a successful corporate career to pursue his passion for music. Mentored by the legendary Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, he made his debut with Yuvasena (2004) and rose to superstardom with the hit “Om Namaste Bolo” from Ready.
Over his 20+ year career, Sastry has written over 3,000 songs, winning multiple Filmfare, Nandi, and SIIMA awards. He is celebrated for his incredible range—effortlessly switching from soulful, classical-infused tracks like “Sadaasiva Sanyaasii” (Khaleja) to massive commercial chart-busters like “Butta Bomma” and “Kurchi Madathapetti.” In 2026, his work on the period epic Ranabaali has been hailed as a career milestone, blending historical depth with the romantic energy of the Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika Mandanna pairing.
